Ulm celebrates the birthday of Albrecht Ludwig Berblinger! On June 24, 2020, he would have been 250 years old: a brilliant and risk-taking inventor from Ulm. Better known as "Schneider von Ulm", he went down in history with his failed flight attempt in 1811. With the anniversary celebrations the city of Ulm honors his life's work and in addition sets the focus on the topics of innovation, courage and need of an open minded community for changes. Numerous events and cultural offers invite you to celebrate with us.

The events take place from May, 26 to May, 29

We start the celebrations with the "Berblinger Flight Forum", a discussion where we look back at the last 35 years of Berblinger flight competitions and talk about the future of aviation.

A big highlight is the "Digital Wall", a multimedia video and sound art installation on the one-kilometer length of the historic city wall.

There will also be the "Berblinger festival - Innovate, Celebrate", a big festival for the whole family with music, food, theatre, a slackline show and hands-on activities for children.
